Genetic Algorithm Based 7-Level Step-Up Inverter with Reduced Harmonics and Switching Devices

This paper presents a unique voltage-raising topology for single-phase seven-level inverter with triple output voltage gain using single input source and two switched capacitors. The has been boosted up to three times the value of by configuring capacitors in series parallel combinations which eliminates use additional step-up converters transformers. selective harmonic elimination (SHE) approach is used remove lower-order harmonics. optimal switching angles SHE determined genetic algorithm. These are combined level-shifted pulse width modulation (PWM) technique generation, resulting reduced total distortion (THD). A detailed comparison made against other relevant topologies terms number switches, drivers, diodes, capacitors, boosting facilities emphasize benefits proposed model. simulated MATLAB/SIMULINK an experimental prototype developed validate results. Digital Signal Processing (DSP) TMS320F2812 board generate pulses results concur model outputs.
